In Anticipation

Well "little Trent" you have kept me very anxious today. I have been bothering your mommy and daddy all day and your grandparents! The day has gone by rather quickly considering, but this past hour has been so slow! I think because the time is coming. You're a pretty lucky kid...just in case you didn't know that already! Your parents are pretty extraordinary individuals- both intelligent, funny, loving, beautiful people! You are already so loved!!

Clara- You have such an important role for the rest of your life! You will forever be admired and looked up to by your younger sibling. Just remember one day they may be bigger than you, so play nice, fair, and always willing to share your clothes and shoes- right Laura! You are going to be a great big sister and teach your little sibling so much about life! Can't wait to see you in just a couple days!

We are looking forward to our trip to come meet you in just a couple days!

Laura sent this to me this afternoon- 10/20/09 (1:00 pm)

Busy Busy

Well the post have been slim this month! Work, school, life has been keeping me pretty occupied the last couple of weeks. But I did happen to document of few of these things! This weekend has been nice and slow at home. It has been raining pretty much since Friday, I am not complaining by any means, it's actually quite peaceful to hear the rain! Saturday we were all ready to go to the Baylor football game, but when we pulled up in the parking lot and it was raining...we went to our friends house and watched the A&M game instead! It was dry and a couch is just more comfortable than bleachers!!! We enjoyed it! Sunday we spent at church- which was nice to reconnect with everyone. We had been absent for pretty much the month of September! Then out to lunch with our class at MaCalister's and eventually Jared and I will be heading to the grocery store! GOtta stock up!

Here are some pics from the last couple of weeks! Enjoy!

This was Sammy at small group on Wednesday! Pooped out with all the company!

This was our purchase from Round Top! Jared and I have been wanting one of these metal chicken for so long! It fits so well on the back porch!

I came home on Wednesday from work to find these! Jared still has a romantic side!

They smell really good too!

A Home away From Home- AKA Aggieland

Well this past weekend Jared and I went to College Station to celebrate Meghan getting her Aggie Ring and also attend the football game! Luckily they won! So it was all in all a great weekend! I have been away from College Station now for about 3 years...hard to believe that it has been that long. After spending time in Stillwater and now Waco...I lost that feeling of being in Aggieland! That feeling is hard to explain, describe, experince! But it's so wonderful! Walking around campus and exeperiencing "Aggie Tailgating" is pretty remarkable! So many people with one thing in common! It felt great to be apart of that once again! * i had to get a new Aggie shirt since all mine are on quilts, I Y maroon t-shirts! Here are some pictures from this past weekend! Hope you enjoy!

Aggie Rings! This picture made the jumbo tron at the game!

It just wouldn't be fitting to go to College Station without getting a picture of this!

At the football game! Yea Ags Win!

Posing by the cannon! I think Jared have a picture very similar to this from 3 years ago!

This bus is absolutely the ultimate Tailgaiting experience! These old ags built this bus! It features flat screen tv's, upper deck,it's crazy! So we got a pic! It will be a good reference when we build our Ultimate Aggie Tailgater! HEHE

Loaded Weekend

Well this weekend just seems like I snapped my fingers and it was over! Very sad! Friday night we had our annual equestrian team retreat...which equates to NO SLEEP! I think most of the girls had a good time! It's hard to tell and hard to please that many people. Funny story though.....so friday night we had hamburger dinner catered by a local company! They do a great job! but i'm getting off track...so I send out all the emails to the girls about what to bring and what the team will provide aka...a hamburger dinner..so I received an email from one of our INTELLIGENT freshman asking...."what kind of food will be served at the hamburger dinner?" Yes this is what i get to deal with on a daily basis!

So after the retreat I went to...sleep...no onto another baby shower! One of my friends from our Sunday school class is going to have a little boy, Matthew. Her shower was at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame! It was a neat idea to have the shower there. The McKowns are huge Dallas Cowboy fans and they had a room that was entirely dedicated to the Cowboys...very fitting! His nursery is going to have a Cowboy theme along with sport bears! Very cute! So then after the shower....the NAP was calling! Jared spent the afternoon with the guys shooting his guns! Browning even got to go! THey had a good time!

Sunday rolled around...and we had to get up earlier than usual since the schedule of our service changed to 8:30 instead of 11! So off the early service we go and Sunday school where we met our new teachers. They seem nice! She is a fifth grade teacher at Midway Intermediate!! So after church we went to Olive Garden..YUMMY and then home to do yard work! The lawn got mowed and Jared cute down my overgrown rose tree! He hated that rose tree...so it's gone! It will be so much nicer to mow back there and not have those thorns grabbing at you the whole time! Then our friends Holly and Chris came over for a bit and then grocery shopping! That would complete my weekend!

Now back at work for a busy week! School starts tomorrow! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Thanksgiving in August?!?!

So this past weekend we went to Sugar Land for a couple of reasons; Jared and his dad went to the Duck Commanders breakfast on Saturday at his old church! They had a great time! Jared even won another door prize! It was his lucky week! He won three duck prints which, and this is bizarre, his dad has the same three! CRAZY! They are neat prints of ducks..hehe...that are sketched with like a pencil. One is a mallard drake, the other is a pintail drake and a wood duck drake. Jared is going to make a frame for them all out of...can you guess...?!!? FENCE pickets and hang them in his office at work! His walls are VERY bare...so this will spic his office up! The prints are numbered and all...so official! So after the Duck Commanders...Jared and I his mom, sister, and grandma spent the day shopping! Hey it was Texas Tax Free weekend! WE couldn't help ourselves! Then out to dinner for some YUMMY Mexican at Lopez! That has become a tradition when we go to Sugar Land we go to Lopez! No complaints from us!

We also celebrated Jared's dad's birthday this past weekend. Jared made him an ice chest! He has this one down pretty good now! I'm still surprised by his talents! Hmmm I wonder what the next project will be :o) So the Birthday dinner...was more like a thanksgiving dinner! We had steak...shrimp....salad...potatoes...fruit and dip....brie and crackers.....cake! It was all delicious! His mom and grandma are quite the cooks! His dad is also a whiz on the grill! We hadn't eaten steaks in quite awhile! They are almost taboo in our household! j/k!

Here are some other pictures I have been slow to upload!

Jared's birthday at the river! We had a good time and yes there was water in the river! I didn't get any shots on the river because i was afraid of getting my camera wet! But i did get some good shots of all the DEER around the house! It was wild how many deer we saw and how close we could get to them!
